ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg GmbH has recently employed 5 new apprentices bringing the total to 9 within the company. This is a high of 13% of the workforce, an above average level.
The recent recruitment drive was in aid of developing the workforce capacity and to maintain the quality and service standards of the organisation announced ATP. The apprentices, in technical, maintenance and management assistant roles, were chosen after analysis of future requirements of the proving ground were taken into consideration.
Christopher Piec the manager responsible for Human Resources stated "We want to ensure the best services possible for clients and to keep the company at the forefront of the industry. To maintain our strongly independent facilities as one of the world's leading proving grounds we recruited high calibre candidates for the roles".
ATP commenced operations in 1998 as a proving ground for passenger and commercial vehicles. It's 780 hectares with tracks, workshops and test benches are used by automotive manufacturers and suppliers to test driving dynamics, brakes, endurance and other aspects of vehicles, tyres and components. Originally costing €130m to build the proving ground, ATP recently invested in extending the workshop and test bench facilities.
